About us
Heat Pumps Made Easy (HPME) was formed by Mick Fletcher, a heating engineer with almost 40 years of experience in home heating. During that time, Mick and the engineering teams he has managed have installed literally thousands of gas and oil fired boilers right across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom.
Those many thousands of installations ranged from fitting gas boilers in homes with a mains gas connection, through to installing oil boilers on remote Scottish islands, for people who were off-grid.
It was during his time working on projects in remote areas that Mick’s interest in renewable heating systems piqued.
Mick formed HPME to offer the right advice and service to people considering a heat pump installation.
As a general rule of thumb, if someone is unhappy with their heat pump installation it is a fair bet that they were either poorly advised at the outset, or received a low quality installation.
If, alternatively, someone is delighted with their heat pump it is reasonable to say that they were correctly advised at the outset, were then offered the most suitable products for their needs, and the installation and technical aspects of the job were carried out to the highest standard.
Get in touch with Mick to arrange an initial survey to see if a heat pump is right for you.
Belt & Braces
We strictly adhere to the guidelines and best practices set down by the regulatory bodies, including the MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) and the RECC (Renewable Energy Consumer Code)
We recommend that potential customers read the RECC. Click here to read https://www.recc.org.uk/scheme
If you have decided to proceed with us, we arrange for a third-party surveyor to visit and carry out a further heat-loss survey. Effectively, our advice, calculations etc are double checked. What we like to call Belt and Braces!
System monitoring
HeatPumpMonitor.org is an opensource platform that offers comparison information demonstrating the operating efficiency of the heat pump systems being monitored. The management of Heat Pump Monitor have very kindly allowed us to embed their website into this page.
